One of the coolest ways to spend a hot summer afternoon is to slip on some ice skates and hit the rink at the 41,000-square-foot Rocky Mountain Ice Arena.
Other Programs: Youth hockey and figure skating summer camps will be offered. The camps will teach power skating, puck skills, team and individual tactics and techniques, checking, goal tending, video analysis, off ice training, performance reports and training records. Call for more information.
Beginner and adult hockey leagues for men and women also will be formed. For more information please call. Private facility rentals also are available for skating or other events.
Skating times: Variable
Prices: All skate rental is $1.00, Skate passes: Adult - $5.00, Kids - 15 and under; $3.00. $30 for a 10-pass punch card for children; $35 for adults. $10 for a 10-pass rental card for children: $15 for adults.
Directions: The Rocky Mountain Ice Arena is located between Helena and East Helena on Highway 12 East.
