This is your opportunity to follow along on part of the Lewis and Clark Trail through the beautiful Lolo National Forest. Ride through gorgeous wooded and mountainous views, which will include a narration by Lewis and Clark interpreters. The trees will be turning color to fantastic yellows, oranges and reds at this time of the year. It is truly a photo opportunity.

Check-in begins at 4 p.m. on Friday. At check-in, you will receive your meal ticket(s), armband and goody bag. A therapeutic riding demonstration by Danmore Stables will start at 5 p.m. and games, water balloon toss and barbecue will begin at 6 p.m. Finish the evening with Ritch Doyle, an interpreter who will portray the adventures of the Lewis & Clark Expedition. S'mores will be served around the campfire.

Saturday morning check-in opens at 7 a.m. Breakfast is served at 8 a.m. There will be trail rides available on Saturday. First is the Cowpoke Ride, which will last approximately three hours consisting of an easy, laid back pace. Introduction of trail bosses will start at 10 a.m. with the ride leaving camp at 10:30 a.m. Lunch is served at noon.

The Vigilante ride will last approximately five hours and will consist of steeper, harder terrain. Introduction of trail bosses will begin at 9 a.m. with the ride leaving camp at 9:30 a.m. Lunch served at noon. Return for evening entertainment, microbrew tasting and silent auction, which begin at 3:30 p.m. Steak fry served at 5:30 p.m. and live auction at 6 p.m.

Ride 2004 welcomes horses of all breeds. Need not be a member of MQHA to participate.

$85* per person ($70* per child 10 & under) *Fee includes ride, breakfast, sack lunch, steak barbecue, microbrew tasting and official t-shirt. After Wednesday, September 1, 2004, fee will increase to $100 per adult and $85 per child 10 & under

.$25 per person ($20 per child 10 & under) Saturday dinner and auction only.$9 per person ($6 per child 10 & under) Friday evening barbecue .$5 per Poker Ride hand

Directions: The 2004 MQHA Ride along the Lewis and Clark Trail originates at Lolo Hot Springs Resort. Take Highway 93 South from Missoula to Lolo. Turn right at the Lolo Super Stop Conoco onto Highway 12 in Lolo. Lolo Hot Springs Resort campground is 25 miles southwest from Lolo.
