The lower 2 miles of Basin Creek provides fair fishing for eastern brook trout. The surrounding area has been logged repeatedly since the early 1990s. Elevation 4,700 feet.
Directions: Travel south for two mile on US Highway 93 and turn right on Fortine Creek Road 36. Follow this road for 15 miles and turn left onto Basin Creek Road 315
.Access 2: Turn left at the north end of Dickey Lake at the Trego turnoff. This road meets the Fortine Creek Road north within three miles. From this point, travel south for twelve miles to Basin Creek Road 315. The upper end of the fishable portion will be reached by following Forest Service Road 315 for two miles.
