Witness the largest known migration of Golden Eagles in North America. Watch 17 species of raptors soar the Bridger Mountain's knife-edge ridge. Festival activities include slide shows on raptor identification, kids' programs and a birds of prey presentation with ambassador falcons, owls, and hawks from the Montana Raptor Center.
Directions: Bridger Raptor Festival will be held at Jim Bridger Lodge at the base of Bridger Bowl Ski Area which is located 16 miles north of Bozeman on Highway 86. Follow signs to parking lot. Trails to the ridge are marked for raptor viewing. Over 2,000 feet of vertical gain on an approximately 1.5 mile hike. Be prepared for all weather conditions. Proper hiking gear, food, and water should be taken for each individual. Binoculars are recommended.
